seeing is believing
When the box is first set up, you get a free trial of Premium Petkit Care+, which basically lets you watch the entire playback as your cat uses it (without it, you can only see still shots of the times your pet appears). The free trial of the Premium plan lasts for 30 days from setup, and has three tiers of subscription plans, It starts at $4 per month for Basic and goes up to $12 per month for Premium+. By playing the premium version, you can literally watch the making of the metaphorical sausage inside the box, as it records your cat using the litter box in all its glory, followed by recording droppings of droppings as you separate the poop from the box. Clean up the trash and dispense it into the airtight bag below. After the stool appears, there is a chart with an infographic showing normal versus abnormal stool so you can identify any changes or abnormalities (one of the most effective ways to monitor your cat’s health). Although this is a good idea in theory, the video is not high definition and was always in black and white, which made monitoring anything very difficult (I often found myself saying: “Yes, that’s a little gray picture of a kitten turd”). .
One of my cats is a massive 20 pound gray tabby and the other is a very fluffy 12 pound calico. When I tried Petkit Care+, it was able to correctly identify cats about 75 percent, but once it expired, the cats were never automatically identified, even though they looked completely different.

The litter box can take multiple types of litter, including clay and tofu, but it has different meshes to sift the litter to ensure it’s separated properly. The 10-litre litter bin lasts up to 20 days with one cat, and is located at the back of the device. Like other Petkit litter boxes I’ve tested, it smells great due to its special deodorizer ($20 for a three-pack) and the waste bag is sealed. When your litter box is full, you can open the trunk lid, take out the dirty bag, replace it with a clean bag, and then install the refill ring cover to ensure it stays in place properly. Part of the reason the trunk is so large is the automatic filling system. It is lifted during operation, and when the bag is full, it has automatic filling, automatic sealing, and automatic packing. Then, when the sealed garbage bag is ready, the user just needs to remove it (you have to do this manually using the buttons on the device, and be present to take it out and refill it). Because of this packing system, you will need special refill rings and Petkit litter bags (Three for $35). Although the smart box shows pictures of the chair, they are not very detailed, so I still recommend checking the chair yourself to make sure nothing is wrong.
