Fletcher’s comments are at a time when the United Nations Food Program (WFP) said on Friday that it includes only 5,700 tons of food stocks in Gaza – which is enough to support the World Food Program operations for a maximum of two weeks.

For Ahmed Balosha, a displaced child in Gabalia, the increase in prices means that his family did not suffer from fresh meat “for more than a year.”

He said: “We are alive on canned foods, some bread and cheese. That’s it.”

Amid the worsening food crisis, Gaza is still at severe fire from Israeli attacks.
