Palestinian officials identified the 14 -year -old American citizen in the name of Omar Muhammad Rabia.

The Palestinian authorities said that a Palestinian -American teenager was shot by an Israeli Jewish settler in the occupied West Bank.

Palestinian officials got acquainted with the 14 -year -old in the name of Omar Mohamed Rabea and said he was near a settlement in Turmus Aya when the settler opened fire.

There has been a sharp rise in settlers’ violence, incursions, attacks, and intentional burning against the Palestinians and their property in the region since the Israeli war in Gaza began. The Israeli army also conducted a constant attack on the region in various cities and towns.

The mayor of the city, Adeeb Lavi, said that Rabia was afflicted with two other teenagers by settlers.

Palestinian officials condemned the shooting. One of the officials said: “This is another example of the continuous Israeli settler violence against the Palestinians, with impunity,” one of the officials said.

The victim’s family has not yet made a public statement, but they expressed their grief over their loss.

International criticism of the expansion of the Israeli settlement and the Jewish violence of the settlers, proving the condemnation of human rights groups around the world.

Israeli forces opened an investigation into the killing, but there was no immediate comment from the authorities. The Israeli army and settlers work mostly without fear of judicial repercussions in the Palestinian areas.

Sherine Abu Aklele, a Palestinian -American journalist on the island, was also killed by the Israeli army in 2022 while reporting in the occupied West Bank, although his identity was clearly identified as a member of the press.
