Oma3A association based in Zug, Switzerland, announces a new project called the spatial store to enable 3D open internet. Oma3 It is a union for the best creators companies in WeB3 building standards and infrastructure to enable Metaverse with the ability to work.

The nineties led to the consumer internet, born from closed systems such as Compuserve and AOL. These walled gardens are restricted to innovation, and the web capabilities were not fully fulfilled until the research community continued to develop open standards such as HTML and HTTP. Oma3, as a non -profit consortium, aspires to do the same for the spatial/3D web as did the research community in the 1990s of the two -dimensional web.

In 2023, OMA3 announced the onset of work on the Global Gates System (IWPS), which is a three -dimensional hyperlink of spatial internet. OMA3 issued a draft initial specifications for public comment in 2024 and held a general forum on specifications with the descriptive standards forum. OMA3 has now started working on the techniques adjacent to fulfill its mission, and the next store is the spatial store.

Oma3 is perceived by a place.

The spatial store will enable the final users to interact with the entirely open spatial internet. Users will be able to navigate the virtual worlds in a 3D environment, visit Worlds on any platform using IWPS, communicate with friends via Metaverse, and handle cryptocurrencies such as the oma code.

The base of the spatial store is a Blockchain application. Instead of submitting applications to the application store, “developers” make their applications on Blockchain. The application record is an invaluable alternative to servers that are particularly controlled behind the common application stores today.

Like Netscape Navigator in the nineties, the spatial store “browser” reads applications and apps applications about the application record and displays applications on the final consumer. Oma3 plans to the spatial store to be just one of many “browsers”. Watching with this trend, OMA3 plans to open to the browser so that anyone can build his own browser to move in the decentralized application record itself.

Dirk Louith, founder of UPLAND and OMA3 president, said in a statement.

“Animoca Brands has supported hundreds of Web3 projects, and many of them have faced friction or explicit control of traditional internet application stores,” said Ruby Young, CEO of Investments at Animoca Brands and Vice President of OMA3.

OMA3 has issued a request for proposals (RFPS) for the spatial store at the GitHub OMA3 warehouse: https://github.com/oma3dao/. Oma3 welcomes comments on Gabbab. Organizations that wish to participate in the development of the spatial store and the main infrastructure of the open metaverse to join Oma3.
