Nissan and Honda plan to merge

Honda and Nissan have it officially certain Rumors They seek to integrate. Both will still operate under their respective brands but with a new joint holding company as the parent company. If Mitsubishi, which is also controlled by Nissan, joins, the combined group will become the third largest automaker in the world by sales volume, with a net worth of $50 billion.

Nissan and Honda previously To work together on developing electric cars, but the joint company will be much more integrated. According to the press release, this could include standardizing vehicle platforms, consolidating R&D teams, and improving manufacturing systems and facilities. This can help reduce costs.

In the U.S., Nissan sells pickup trucks and large SUVs that Honda doesn’t offer, along with more experience in EVs and electric vehicles. On the other hand, Honda has a relatively stable financial situation while Nissan is struggling, especially in Japan.

According to the Financial Times, Meta may add displays to its Ray-Ban smartglasses collaboration. These displays could appear in a future iteration of the device as early as next year. However, it does not aim for full mixed reality. The screens will be on the smaller side and will likely be used to display notifications or responses from Meta’s AI virtual assistant.

A group of fans has created an original port for PC Star Fox 64which they call Spacecraft. Harbor Masters, the team behind the project, used a tool that converts the original game’s ROM into PC executable code, so it doesn’t use any Nintendo-specific code. This means that it is technically legal. (I’m sure Nintendo is looking into it.)

Like the previous ports Spacecraft It features all sorts of modern bells and whistles to differentiate itself from the 1997 original. The frame rate is higher and the port includes frame smoothing technology for better images. There’s also another major benefit: it’s adjustable.
