Nine people were killed and more than 40 were wounded after a Russian drone hit a bus Officials say workers are in eastern Ukraine.
The attack took place on Wednesday morning in the central city of Marhanitz in the Dnipropterrovsk region, via a river from the Russian nuclear power plant.
President Voludmir Zelinski described it as “a very brutal attack – a completely deliberate war crime” on a “regular bus … clearly a civilian goal.”
He said that most of the injured were women who worked in a mining and treatment factory.
The strike came when Trump’s senior talks came out of the talks in London between the United Kingdom, Europe and Ukraine aimed at securing a ceasefire.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Steve Witkev, but they were later announced. They were replaced by Trump’s Ukraine envoy, General Keith Keel, who referred to Wednesday talks in the name of “technical meetings”.
Zelinski said on Wednesday that the Ukrainian delegation was continuing with the partners.
He said: “Ukraine has repeatedly said that it does not exclude any of the formats that could lead to a ceasefire, and then, to real peace. Stopping the killings is the first task.”
He shared pictures of the bus attack, which showed the car with a hole through its roof, from its doors from its hinges and glass spread on its floor.
Russia did not comment on the attack.
There were also drones on Kharkiv, the second largest city in Ukraine in the east of the country, for the second day in a row.

Last month, Moscow reached a long list of conditions in response to the full ceasefire agreed by the United States and Ukraine.

Witkoff, a real estate electrode and Donald Trump envoy, has worked as a channel between the White House and the Kremlin in recent months.
It is scheduled to return to Moscow this week to attend another meeting with Putin. Rubio said on Wednesday that he would focus on these talks in Moscow.
This comes after reports that the United States is considering proposing a recognition of the Crimea as Russian lands as a way to end the fighting, which was excluded by Zelinski.
Crimea, internationally recognized as part of Ukraine, has been under Russian occupation since 2014.
On Wednesday, US Vice Vice Vice President JD Vance reiterated that President Donald Trump’s recent assertion that the United States will calm down the mediation of Russia-Ukraine talks if Moscow or Kiev did not agree to a deal.
Russia has launched a large -scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. It is estimated that hundreds of thousands of people have been killed or injured in all sides.
