After his appointment, Lennon said: “I am very excited about the possibility of joining the Dunfermline Athletic Football Club Club. Once I spoke to James Porsus, he made a very convincing proposal about his club’s ambitions. However, it is clear that our goal in the short term is in the tournament next season.

“After I watched the match against Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup, it is clear that there is a talent in the team, and it may be a little low per minute.

“What we want to do is bring energy, confidence and an exciting football brand. This may not happen immediately but we want to play on the front foot, excite supporters and make the players believe in what we do.”

“First, I would like to welcome NEIL and IAIN at the KDM East End Park. We have identified a very quickly as a prominent candidate for this role. After I managed from the highest level in the country, it will bring a great wealth of experience in the club.

“Although it was a collective effort to secure the services of such a high manager, this was not possible without James Porsus’s personal participation in the negotiations.

“Neil has already started preparing for the next Saturday match with AyR UNITED and with seven games, we know that our supporters will fail to Nile, Nayin and the rest of the employees and the team and we are fighting to maintain our championship.”
