One of them was Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins, who was on hand at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati after their win over the Tennessee Titans.
Higgins spoke to FOX Business about the impact he knows these kids will have in his city, because as a kid in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, his childhood was influenced by the Boys & Girls Club.
“It’s really cool because I remember growing up going to the Boys & Girls Club, and sitting in the same shoes as the kids,” he said after helping donate 100 bikes. “Seeing people give me a bike for Christmas, it made my Christmas special and that’s all I want to do. Make Christmas for these kids because when I was younger I rode bikes all the time. A bike can change kids’ lives, you never know “

“It’s great to be able to give back to the kids and see that joy on their faces,” said Daniels, an NFL running back. “It’s amazing. I wanted to come here and change the culture, change the franchise and the organization. And that starts by giving back to the community, getting involved, and showing them that there is hope and inspiration for them to pursue their dreams.”
Denver Broncos tight end Patrick Surtain II called it “something invaluable” to his community.
“Not only do they serve good food, they give back to the community. To be a part of this, to be a part of something special like this, it means a lot,” Surtain said of Raising Cane’s, which has doubled its bike and helmet numbers to 2500 from 1000 last year.
For players, interacting with kids and seeing a smile on their faces is something that never gets old.
“It’s priceless,” Arizona Cardinals outfielder James Conner said.
“It’s about doing something bigger than yourself, especially doing it in this Arizona community. They’ve shown me so much love here, so just to see the kids and give back, especially since I’ve been here for a while it means a lot at Christmas time, and we’re looking forward to making memories.” “
