“Never give up”: This baseball team has cut a series of 141 games

Two of the longest losing lines in the history of baseball at the college ended on Tuesday when the University of Yashiva and the Lehman College of Leman fell at a dual head in Tennick, New Jersey

Lehman College, a public institution in the Bronx neighborhood in New York City, was stuck in a series of 42 games. The baseball team has not won lightning in the match since May 9, 2023, when they defeated Baruch College in New York. But in the first match of Doubleheader on Tuesday, Lehman destroyed their line by beating Yeshiva from 7-6 on Yeshiva.

The second match took a dramatic turn as much. Yashiva University, a private Orthodox Jewish school with four universities across New York City, was carrying a more painful line -9 successive loss dating back to February 27, 2022. But in Nightcap, Maccabees found their spark, as they appeared in a victory 9-5 by ending the victory.

After a tense tie, the game entered additional roles, as a major blow in the eighth half of Lehmann allowed his victory.

A prominent performance from the Lehman Justin Shamuro jug, who gave a full game and hit 13 fighters. Talk to As it happens Nil Köksal hosted the victory.

Congratulations, Justin. How do you feel?

Oh, it is an urgent feeling of comfort. I am very happy. It is one victory. This was the hump we need to overcome. I am grateful.

It was a long time. How can you get something like that game after the game?

A lot of stones and perseverance.

It is difficult as one team because I am not only talking about myself, but after a lot of losses, your morale begin to go down. It is like, “When will it happen?”

It is only a matter of time. This is the issue of time yesterday.

What did you learn from all of these (previous losses) as one team to win this time?

Certainly, circumstantial beating, being smart on different charges – like hunters who know what matters, know what to expect and implement those charges.

As well as defensive, more synchronization is collected well, especially when it comes to a specific place we would like to manage or defense transformations. This has definitely played a major role, sympathy for all these losses, and we feel each other.

At what point during the game yesterday, you feel, “Well, this may be?”

When we took the initiative on the seventh, in the seventh part of the seventh, I knew that I was going there for another run.

I was like, “I will close this half and secure this victory over Lyman.” I just knew that.

I went there confident regardless of what, and I am only grateful because my team mates have appeared and took me.

And the moment you realized that you won, I saw a little video on Instagram, there was a few pillars there, understandable. But what were you feeling at those moments?

I was feeling proud, as you know, be a New York citizens coming from Bronx.

This school has witnessed many obstacles and smokes. I don’t know if you can go out, but I was just saying, “We are here, we are here.”

Because we represent – I represent – this school. I represent everything I went through, and all the conflicts that the program has gone through. We have succeeded in that. This was the daylight that we needed to see.

Earlier this week I spoke with Dan Sarmino (who) was in the game. It is Utiper, and he believed that part of the case might have been financed. But you are in the team – what was hindering victory before now?

This is one of the biggest issues, in fact. I feel like if we have the resources we need, we will definitely compete at a much higher level.

Support was also a problem. I mean, whether this school is more recognized for the basketball component and athletics (), we do not get a lot of shine and attention.

Many of our players (we have) youth. It is rebuilding. After the year we had last year, it was difficult.

I would like to say financing, support, lack of equipment, lack of resources, really, because we play with our hands, and do what we can with what we have, and that’s really it.

Does this seem like a turning point?

I think so. Know me, I hope to show my teammates that we can definitely do so.

I need each of them to invest it as if we were (in) the first game. We take it at one time.

I know that coach (Chris) Delgado has invested a lot of his time as he puts everything he has in this program as he opposes before he invests us a lot.

He made his work to give us the plans of nutrition, training, practices and actors. Give him a lot of pillars.

What did coach Deljado say after winning?

Congratulations on your first victory, and I told him the same. We both smiled because it was a long journey for both of us, and he was recently appointed as a major coach. It is an achievement.

How was the reaction to the campus? I am sure that there was a lot of gossip that happened during your losing plan.

Oh, my God. I am just happy to put an end to the pharaoh that I heard all over the campus, and all negativity.

The soft football team there was supporting us, and they were a very good support system yesterday and I am very grateful to them. I also got different players from different teams that congratulate us and feel different.

There should be lessons in life in each of these losses and yesterday’s victory. What did you teach you all this?

Really, I can give you the Calishate Lesson: never give up.

But he taught me that even in the face of adversity, he builds the character. All of these losses adopt a personality, and all it takes is that one victory is to show you that it is worth it.

All the hard work was worth it, all the effort it made, all this focus in which you put it, everything deserves all this effort in the end – although this is just a beginning.
