A video has gone viral on social media showing a passenger traveling without a ticket in an air-conditioned bus. Footage filmed inside the passenger train shows the passenger – wearing a turban and hat – showing arrogance towards the ticket inspector. He claims that his nephew is the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) and insists that he needs to travel to Buxar.

The passenger was heard saying: “My nephew works in DRM. I have to go to Buxar.” The video quickly spread on social media, with many people questioning the identity of the passenger’s nephew and the department he works in as DRM. There are also concerns about whether this DRM allows the passenger to travel without a ticket.

The date, time and location of the accident remains unclear. The video has raised concerns about passenger safety and security, something that railway authorities have consistently highlighted, but this incident seems to contradict their position.

RPF station commander Suman Kumari from Ara confirmed knowledge of the viral video and stated that she had received information regarding the incident. However, the specific train shown in the footage has not yet been identified, and an investigation is currently underway.

It is important to note that traveling on an air-conditioned bus without a valid ticket can result in imprisonment of up to one year. Travelers who obstruct government business, travel without a ticket on an air-conditioned bus, or threaten an on-duty official could face at least 15 days in prison without the possibility of bail. This crime carries potential charges under Sections 132, 138 and 139, which deal with obstruction of duty.
