A disturbing incident has come to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district, where a vegetable vendor was allegedly caught on video spitting on vegetables. The video, which spread on social media, led to the arrest of the seller. Police shared details about the case on Sunday.

Anoopshahr police in Bulandshahr district arrested a vegetable seller accused of spitting on vegetables. The arrest took place quickly after a video of the incident spread on social media. The footage shows the vendor, sitting at his stall, discreetly spitting on the products while trying to avoid attracting attention. During the investigation, the accused was identified as Shamim, a resident of Naya Basti in Anubshahr Police Station area. Shamim runs a small vegetable shop in the local market.

Anupshahr Police Service Officer Girja Shankar Tripathi provided details about the incident, noting that on December 14, police found a video showing a vegetable vendor at a wholesale market shop allegedly soiling vegetables by repeatedly spitting on them.

After reviewing the video, the police took quick action and registered a case against the accused, identified as Shamim, under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. He confirmed that Shamim was arrested immediately, and after completing the necessary legal procedures, he was sent to prison.
