Motorola has updated its Moto G and Moto G Power smartphones. The two 5G phones have larger screens With protrusion of 0.1 inch to 6.7 inch and 6.8 inch respectively. Both have a high brightness mode of up to 1,000 nits to help make the displays more legible in bright daylight. They have a 120Hz refresh rate as well.
Both the Moto G 2025 and Moto G Power 2025 have Dolby Atmos support, along with bass boost technology and Hi-Res Audio. Moreover, both of them have a 5,000 mAh battery and run on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset.
Pricing for the Moto G starts at $200. It features a 50-megapixel main camera and Gorilla Glass 3, in addition to an IP52 water-resistant design. The phone, which will be available in Dark Gray and Sapphire Blue colours, has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (expandable up to 1TB via microSD card) in its base configuration.
As for the latest Moto G Power, that doubles the RAM and storage space of the Moto G’s base, while having Gorilla Glass 5 instead of 3. It should be more powerful, too, since it has IP68/69 waterproof protection. The Moto G Power starts at $300 and will be available in green and grey.
The Moto G 2025 will arrive at select US retailers on January 30, and the Moto G Power will hit shelves one week later, on February 6. People in Canada will need to wait until May 2 for both phones, which run Android 15 out of the box.
