A bike enthusiast from Kerala has captured the internet’s attention with his creative home decor, where he transforms motorcycle parts into unique design elements for every room. From the living area to the kitchen, his home displays an impressive collection of bike components reimagined as functional decor pieces. Priyam Saraswat, a social media influencer, recently shared a video on Instagram offering a tour of this unique home.
Among the highlights, the man used a Yamaha RX100 tank as a mailbox, and the engine mounts were cleverly repurposed into a stylish living room table. A vintage yellow Bajaj Chetak bicycle has been transformed into a funky sofa, while a vintage Ambassador proudly greets visitors at the front entrance. The house also includes a clock made from Swift Dzire’s pressure plate and a bicycle tire that was converted into a ceiling-mounted chandelier. Additionally, the Bajaj Chetak headlight is creatively mounted on the wall, serving as a unique door light.
The bike lover also showed off some of the prestigious awards he has received for his achievements in cycling, including a memorable picture where he was honored by the Chief Minister of Goa. To continue the tour, the influencer was taken into the kitchen, where a dining table made of spare parts like nuts, bolts and screwdrivers took center stage.
The wash basin was another impressive piece, ingeniously fashioned from the nozzle of the petrol pump. For the towel hangers, a Mahindra steering wheel was mounted on the wall, adding to the car-inspired decor. The mirror in the room is uniquely created using a motor inlet manifold, with RGB lighting. In addition, the Swift’s shock absorbers have been reused in the kitchen lights, and the refrigerator has been creatively designed to resemble a classic Volkswagen Combi, complementing the funky and attractive design theme.
At the end of the video, the car lover revealed a bike he had salvaged from scrap, restored, and traveled more than 1,000 kilometers in just seven days to earn a place in the Indian Book of Records. The passenger also shared his background, noting that he previously worked as a JCB operator and as a mechanic in garages.
The video quickly gained attention on social media, with viewers expressing their admiration for the bike enthusiast’s unwavering passion for cars. “More than home, it’s his passion that inspires,” one viewer said. Popular Indian rapper Karma, also known as Vivek Arora, paid tribute to the bike enthusiast, calling him a “legend”.
“People who are passionate about things are the most vibrant souls,” another commenter wrote. Another person shared their view, saying: “Some call it insanity, others call it insanity – but I see it as pure passion.” The video has since garnered over four crore views on Instagram.
