Motorbunny’s PlayMate lets your controller (sort of) control your taste

There was a myth in my high school about turning your PlayStation 2 into an alternative rocker by creating a custom skate park in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3. Build a circular grind rail, turn off the ability to fall, and jump on it, and your DualShock will initiate a wave of haptic feedback that never ends. It’s an idea that the Motorbunny team is taking to its logical conclusion, adding a wireless controller to the sex toy that bears its name that can be connected to a DualSense controller. The idea is that you’ll be able to combine playing your game with getting going. And yes, I feel ashamed to write this sentence.

The company was in CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevadashows off the PlayMate, a wireless dongle that can control the thick, saddle-shaped toy. In the demo, the PlayMate is connected to the USB-C port on the back of the DualSense that controls PS5 playback Rocket League. Except that there’s no way to pull touch data from the DualSense, or any other gaming phone, for that matter. Instead, it has a built-in gyroscope that tracks how hard your controller tilts and tilts, and uses that information to control the Motorbunny. This is not as good Tony Hawk A plan from 2001, but at least it will enable some people to combine their hobbies at the same time.

The PlayMate is one of a range of products the company is launching, including a series of less expensive vibes under the Fluffer brand. This is a sub-brand designed to connect with the worlds of gaming and sex, and the app even has some arcade games that you can use to control your games. In one show, there it was Flappy Bird Reproduction that will increase the intensity of the vibration the longer you can keep the bird in the air. Unfortunately, the company wasn’t ready to share pricing and availability details just yet, but it did say that a full range of products will hit the market in the following months.
