Minnie Jones witnesses the “total devastation” of Mayotte

As French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Mayotte to inspect the damage caused by Hurricane Chido, BBC correspondent Mainie Jones said the devastation caused by the storm became immediately visible to visitors.

President Macron has pledged to support the people of Mayotte – but many residents are still waiting for supplies such as food and water.
