Mathematics will be in the majority at the Olympic Games for the first time in the Los Angeles Summer Games 2028 thanks to a big women’s football victory.

The Olympic Women’s Football Championship will be larger than the first time edition in 2028, the International Olympic Committee decided on Wednesday, with 16 women’s teams and now only 12 men – gender defects in the Paris Olympics, which had 16 teams and 12 teams in the women’s championship.

The International Olympic Committee said that this decision taken by the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee helped to push the basic share of athletes to 50.7 per cent of women and 49.3 percent of men – 5333 women and 5167 for men.

The gap is slightly closed when sports athletes are especially included to the LA – which includes 322 females and 376 male competitors. This sport includes cricket, football and lacrox game.

The historical progress of mathematics was made at the meeting of the Board of Directors on the Internet on Wednesday in Lausanne for the first time by Kirsi Coventry as the president of the national team since her victory last month. In June, her teacher, Thomas Bach, will be officially replaced and become the first IOC leader in its 131 -year -old.

Two ladies teams were added in the water so that the championship is in Los Angeles equal with men’s event with 12 countries each. Boxing will have an additional category for women’s weight to equal a seven -medal men’s collection.

“The gender equality message is a really important message for us,” said Kate McConnell, IOC Sports Manager. “We really thank Los Angeles 28 for supporting this. It’s essential to see them as well.”

Other additions include:

  • In boxing, a new women’s weight category has been added to reach the gender parity;
  • In rowing, SCULLS will add individual women, and a single men’s bandage, a “coastal beach” event;
  • In sport climbing, Bulder and bullets will be separate events, instead of combining them as in his previous two Olympic appearances;
  • Many sports add mixed events to the team, including shooting, a path (4 x 100 meters), golf, gymnastics, rowing and table tennis.

The state of change

The decision of the International Olympic Committee was to compensate for inequality since the emergence of women’s football for the first time in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics with only eight teams – half of up to the men’s championship.

The Board of Directors confirmed a proposal revealed by the FIFA president last Thursday, Gianni Infantino, when he spoke at the annual meeting of the UEFA Football Authority.

The issue of change has become more convincing because the women’s football championship is a first -class title as the national teams send the best players.

However, only men championship rarely attracts the best players due to the conflicts of choice with clubs all over the world and most of them are players between 23 years old or less. The French men who took silver in Paris last year was unable to choose the Kylian Mbappe that just signed Real Madrid.

There were 16 men’s football teams in every summer games since Moscow in 1980 through Paris last year.

The collection of women increased to 10 teams in the 2004 Athens Olympics, then to 12 after four years in Beijing.

FIFA and Infantino have repeatedly called for equality with a 16 -team women’s championship, which would have added about 70 additional players, as well as team officials, to push the borders on the sporting residence for the Olympic Games.

The solution that was found was the preference of women’s edition over men and the increase in gender symmetry policy in the ICRC in the Olympic Games that was first reached in Paris.

Women and men compete together

Golf and 4×100 SPRINT Relay on the path are among the events that will have mixed sexual events for the first time in Los Angeles.

The other new team events will be in artistic gymnastics, shooting, coastal blasphemy and table tennis.

The International Olympic Committee said that the new Olympic Record of 351 events in a medal in 2028 will be 161 for women, 165 for men and 25 mixed event.
