Pep Guardiola stressed that Manchester City Erling Halland can be absent from “up to seven weeks” due to an ankle injury he suffered in Bournemouth on Sunday.

Halland dreamed of the FA Cup, shortly after the hour at the VITALITY Stadium, and was seen wearing a realistic box after the match.

The 24 -year -old underwent more tests on Monday and Guardiola says he is still hoping for his return before the end of the season.

He said: “Tell me, the doctors, (it will be without) between five to seven weeks. So we hope it will be at the end of the season and by the club’s World Cup ready.”

This is the latest infection of Manchester City, whose hopes of the Premier League title came out in a row through a series of setbacks.

“Sometimes there are years when these types of things happen,” Guardiola added. “It happened throughout the season. I would like to say that it would have been different if the end of the season (before the club’s World Cup). So with all the injuries we suffered this season, I am very sorry for them and the disease too. (I wish him) a good recovery, then I return.”

The city is heading to this match in fifth place in the Premier League, but with a group of clubs in the hope of chasing it during the remaining weeks.

Guardiola now has a big problem in solving a city that does not have a natural alternative to Halland.

“We don’t have another player with Erling Haland”He said, “S skills or specific qualities – we know that,” but we have to adapt, and for many years we have played different ways in the foreground, and this depends on the quality of the players.

“We will find a solution of our players. They all have different and recipe skills. We will have another one (attacker).”
