Malayalam TV actor Dilip Sankar was found dead in a hotel room during a film break after failing to respond to his colleagues.

Malayalam television actor Dilip Sankar was found dead in his hotel room in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. Sankar, who was currently shooting for a TV serial, took a break as the shoot was temporarily halted.

The actor was last on set two days ago and was planning to return once filming resumed, choosing to stay at the hotel until then.

According to reports, Dileep’s stars tried to contact him over phone but did not receive any response. They felt worried, so they visited the hotel to check on him, but they were unable to reach him before his death. Hotel staff discovered his body after noticing an unusual odor emanating from the room.

Many of Dilip Sankar’s colleagues mentioned that he was suffering from health problems. The police have since begun investigating the incident. Initial reports indicate that there are no signs of crime.

Police sources told Asyanet: “There are no signs of foul play at this stage. The exact cause of death will be ascertained after an autopsy.”
