Starting in April, Mahandra and Mahindra will do the prices of SUVs and commercial cars by up to 3 percent. The company said it had absorbed most of the costs of the increasing inputs, but now it is forced to transfer part of the burden to buyers.
Mahandra said in her official statement that the high prices will differ in various SUVs and commercial cars.
This comes in the aftermath of a strong February for the Mumbai’s headquarters. MAHINDRA recorded total car sales of 83,702 cars last month, which represents an increase of 15 percent on an annual basis, including exports. In the pioneering utility vehicles sector, local sales reached 50,420 units – an increase of 19 percent – while total UV sales, including exports, 52,386 units. Commercial vehicle sales in the local market were 23,826 units.
The company also witnessed a strong traction in the tractor sector. Total tractor sales (local and export) did not touch 25,527 units in February 2025, an increase of 21,672 units a year ago.
