LG only Ahead of CES 2025. The LG Signature model features a 27-inch FHD display. We can finally see things in the 90 seconds it takes to pop popcorn. Let’s never be without screens!

This is a touchscreen display that is described as an “immersive entertainment experience in the kitchen.” The microwave also connects to Wi-Fi for streaming content, and has built-in speakers. We don’t know what operating system it runs on or if it can access every streaming platform out there. LG’s traditional smart TVs run webOS, so the same is probably true here.

The company has also remained mum on whether this display is ad-supported or not. Placing a bunch of ads in the kitchen sure sounds like something a CEO’s boardroom might drool over. LG already displays full-screen ads .

The touchscreen integrates with LG’s ThinQ Smart Home control panel, which allows control of compatible Matter and Thread devices. It can also pair with the company’s induction range oven to display cooking progress metrics, thus “eliminating the need to bend down and manually check the oven.” What a scourge, all this bending.

LG has not revealed pricing or availability for this great new device. We’ll likely learn more when CES 2025 begins in earnest on January 7. We’ll be there and report back on what it feels like to watch it mysterious While standing in front of the microwave.

Company . It also announced a new refrigerator with an OLED display and a washer/dryer with an LCD display. I’m all for increasing entertainment options, but what happens when those offerings break? It seems like repairing or replacing the buttons and knobs would be easier than repairing the giant touchscreen.
