Bring LG A lamp that can be used as a mini garden lamp to CES 2025. This “indoor gardening device” is designed for apartment dwellers or anyone with a backyard challenge to enjoy the benefits of locally grown produce.
During the day, LG says the lamp with a circular lamp shade shines LEDs at five different intensities onto the plants you want to grow. Then, at night, the lights bounce upward to create a cozy mood light in whatever room you place the lamp in. If you prefer something more compact and armchair-sized, LG also has a side-table-sized version.
The taller standing bulb can accommodate up to 20 plants at a time, according to LG, and the entire setup is height-adjustable so you can accommodate larger leafy vegetables or smaller herbs and flowers. But the real beauty of LG’s design is that you don’t have to worry about watering. There is a 1.5-gallon reservoir built into the base of the bulb that can dispense just the right amount of liquid for whatever you’ve grown. Both lights also link to LG’s ThinQ app so you can set lighting and watering schedules remotely.
LG introduced its previous take on an indoor gardening tool, the LG Tuneat CES 2022. This larger, refrigerator-like device could automatically grow and water plants, but it was much less aesthetically pleasing than the company’s new bulb. With all the features in it, the new LG lamp is truly perfect One Sonos speaker away From being the ultimate living room device. At least until tech companies find another use for the LEDs.
LG’s new indoor gardening device doesn’t have an official release date or price, but the company is expected to share more details once CES 2025 officially begins.
