Legends trailer could tell us about Cobra Kai’s ending

We haven’t yet stepped off the mat for the final time with “Cobra Kai,” and we’ve already gotten our first glimpse at the upcoming expansion of the “Karate Kid” universe with “The Karate Kid: Legends” trailer.. Scheduled for release in 2025, the new film will, for the first time, see the original Karate Kid, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) team up with Mr. Han, played by Jackie Chan from the 2010 film. Together, they will speak some words of wisdom to the all-new martial arts prodigy, Lee Fung (newcomer, Bin Wang). But with a new kid on the block in the karate world, does anything we’ve seen so far point to the eagerly awaited ending of Cobra Kai and Danny’s tense relationship with his ruthless enemy Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka)?

While it may not be a surprise that the original Karate Kid would appear in a “Legends” movie, it at least confirms that he made it out of “Cobra Kai” alive. This might have been a no-brainer a year ago if it weren’t for that The shock of Kwon’s death in Cobra Kai, Season 6, Part 2, Which indicates that from now until the end of it, anyone is at risk of being killed. But maybe what we should be focusing on is not who will move from the beloved series to the next movie, when it could be the other way around.

What we know about “The Karate Kid: Legends” so far is that the former friends of Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita), Han and LaRusso are working together, but could this union begin with the former visiting the latter in the finale of “Cobra Kai?” Like Nick Fury’s character in the “The Karate Kid” universe, there’s a possibility that Jackie Chan’s character, who hasn’t been seen in 14 years, will come to LaRusso’s house to ask him for a favor. (Even if Macchio himself doubts the success of the engraving). Maybe even the next Karate Kid (no, not Hilary Swank) can ask for advice directly, too. For “Cobra Kai” fans who have been hesitant about the next chapter, it will certainly provide enough suspense to get them excited and seamlessly shift the focus away from the All Valley people and their love of karate.

Then again, there’s no confirmation in the preview on how things will end up for LaRusso and his class. They might not leave Sekai Taikai victorious after all, which might give Danny the impetus to train another kid in karate with the same desire to be the best of the best. For now, we’ll have to wait and see when “Cobra Kai” will last air on Netflix on February 13, and “The Karate Kid: Legends” will hit theaters on May 30.
