Legendary game composer Yuko Shimomora to be honored with Pavta Fellowship

Yoko Shimomura, known as the formation of many distinctive video music, will be honored with BAFTA.

Her musical works include Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy XV and Xenoblade Chronicles series.

Fellowship, the highest honor for charitable arts, will be presented at the twenty -first BAFTA Games Awards on April 8, flowing live on Twitch and YouTube from 11 am Pacific time.

Shimomura is a Japanese author and statement. It will be recognized for its contribution to the game industry. BAFTA Fellowship recognizes those who have made a wonderful and exceptional contribution to movies, games or television, which is the honor of the most famous Arts Association.

The composer is attributed to countless soundtracks determined by the video game of millions of players all over the world, including the Kingdom Hearts series, Final Fantasy XV, Mario & Luigi, Xenoblade Chronicles, Street of Rage, Susta Series, and Super Mario RPG for future generations.

“I am very pleased to get an amazing and prestigious prize, though, frankly, I still can’t fully believe it. I am what I am today thanks to all the people who supported me, allowing me to continue to participate in the music that I love and discover the way of gaming in which this music can flourish,” said Yuko Shimomora in a statement.

She added: “I am very grateful to everyone in the game industry, for those who ask me to write my music and for all those who listen to it. I would like them, and for everyone who was part of my life, to join me at the celebration of this award. Thank you very much for you.”
