According to a report by L innercitypressGhanaian social activist Mona Fayez Montrage was sentenced today. Although Hajia 4Reall’s lawyer asked for 3 months in prison, the judge imposed a 1 year and 1 day prison sentence.

Ms Montague was sentenced to one year and one day in prison with an additional day given for “good time”, according to the judge. Hajia 4Reall’s defense team suggested that she should be able to return to Ghana immediately upon her release, without any ICE detention.
