“Something not fun happened to us over the weekend,” Doty, 41, shared on the Friday, December 13, episode of “Balancing Act.” Podcast. “We’ll keep this short, but I feel like it’s important to talk about because if other women have faced it…it’s other women that I honestly read about online and a few friends that helped me get through it.”
On December 6, Dottie said she started bleeding “very heavily, and it was out of nowhere.”
“We were just on the couch,” she said as she recalled the moments with Cohost and “We were just on the couch.” Orator Luke Broderick. “I wasn’t doing anything crazy, I was just freaking out.”
Valley The star decided to call her doctor, who advised her to visit the emergency room to be safe.
“I’m still bleeding, and that’s the scary part,” Doughty recalled. “I don’t know what this means, because I’m in a complete panic, like, ‘How much have I lost already?’ How much blood will I keep losing? Is this going to keep happening? Won’t this stop forever? There are crazy thoughts going through your head.”
Once they saw the doctor, Dot and Broderick, 33, received the good news Their child It was fine.
“Everything went well,” Doty said. “We still don’t quite know what happened. … What we think happened is that there was a shift in the placenta. The blood was all mine. The blood was not the baby’s blood.

We had to listen to her heartbeat, and the technology was so great at putting us at ease and making us feel calm that way. She was moving there – moving and shaking – as if nothing was wrong.
Before she was discharged from the hospital, Broderick said Dot received paperwork stating that she had been subjected to a “threatened miscarriage.”
According to Cleveland ClinicThreatened miscarriage describes vaginal bleeding and pelvic pain in the first trimester of pregnancy. Treatment usually involves watchful waiting. In most cases, the pregnancy continues and does not end in miscarriage.
While the couple remains vigilant, they are grateful that another doctor’s appointment reassured them that their baby girl is safe. They also expressed their gratitude to Valley costars Nia Sanchez and Danny Bucco For their prayers during that scary emergency room visit.
“It was a big scare,” Doty said. “I believe with all my heart that God and Luke helped me get through it because I didn’t think I would.”
