Kevin de Bruyne confirmed that Manchester City will leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Belgium’s midfielder joined City in 2015 and was the main pillar of their success, where he won six titles in the Premier League, two of the FA Cup, five league Cup, and one champions.

However, the injuries have reduced its influence over the past two seasons and confirmed in a post on X that he will leave the union soon.

He wrote: “Seeing this, you may realize where this is. So I will go directly to him and inform you all that these recent months are Manchester City.

“There is nothing about this easy to write, but as football players, we all know this day in the end. On that day here – you deserve to hear from me first.

“Football paid me all of you – and to this city. Hustle my dream, I do not know this period that will change my life. This city. This club. These people … give me everything.

“Whether we like it or not, it is time to say goodbye. Syrian, Rome, Mason, Michel, and I am grateful for what this place means to our family.” Manchester “will be forever on our children’s passports – and most importantly, in all of our hearts.

“This will always be our home.

“We cannot thank the city, the club, the employees, the teammates, friends and family enough for this trip for 10 years.

“Every story ends, but this was definitely the best chapter.

“Let’s enjoy these last moments together!

“A lot of love, kdb.”
