Kate Beckinsale reveals abuse in support of Blake Lively

In a video shared online, Beckinsale recounted an incident in which she was labeled “that c-nt” for simply talking about a co-star who was “drunk every day” during filming.

“He was going through something. I sympathize with that, but I was waiting, as was the crew, for six hours a day for him to learn his lines. “It meant I wouldn’t be able to see my daughter in the evenings for the whole movie. While working on an action film, Beckinsale shared that one of her co-stars physically hurt her during a fight scene. However, when she spoke about her injury, she found herself isolated from the rest of the cast.

“There’s a certain type of actor who gets a thrill out of being legally able to hurt a woman during a fight scene,” the actress explained. “And it was damaged, so much so that an MRI proved it. I was stressed out and felt like I was the problem and was blamed and excluded from dinners as soon as I mentioned there was a problem.

Beckinsale then dropped the bombshell that she was “forced by a publicist” to film her “the day after the miscarriage.”

“I said: I can’t. I’m bleeding. I don’t want to go and change my clothes in front of people I don’t know and take pictures. I’m bleeding because of the miscarriage.” She explained. “She would say, ‘You have to do it, or you’ll get sued.'”

I have 47 million stories like this,” said the actress as she highlighted the harassment actresses frequently face on set. “I was 18 and I felt like I had someone I really trusted on the crew. I went up to the lead actress, who was known for being pro-feminist, and said this was happening, and was told, “No, it’s not happening.” I went to another actress and said I was assaulted by this man and I said, “No, you weren’t.”

She then talked about how being a woman in this industry doesn’t allow you to bring it up because if you do, “you’re in a bad position.”

“It’s supposed to be that way; you internalize it, and somehow you become the friend,” she said. “This has to stop. I’m grateful to Blake Lively for highlighting that this isn’t an old problem that no one has. This is ongoing. And when that happens, a machine is put in place to completely destroy you.”

In the caption of her video, Beckinsale also explained:
