Among those on board the plane, the football title was celebrated at the former Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Kareena Group, her parents and brother, according to a family statement.
The American National Transportation Council (NTSB) said that the family was traveling to attend the holidays when the accident occurred.
NTSB said that a video clip of the last seconds of the flight obtained by the plane showed sound before it collided with the ground with a high landing rate.
A joint family statement determined the victims as Karina Group, her parents, Dr. Michael Group, Dr. Joy Sini, her brother Jared Group, his partner Alexia Quitace Duarti and Karen James Santoro partner.
“They were a great family,” James’s father, John Santoro, told Associated Press.
“The world has lost many good people who would have done a lot of good for the world if they had the opportunity. We have all destroyed.”
Kareena, a former athlete, was awarded a woman award for the year by the National Association of Athletes (NCAA) in 2022, her first year.
The family said she graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she met James, and was registered at the University of New York University (New York University).
Her parents were both prominent doctors, while her brother Jared was almost almost, and his partner, Alexia, was about to join the Harvard University Law College.
“Karina has shown an exceptional skill and a steady passion for the care of patients and the mission of our institution. We will remember her for her warmth, grace, kindness, distinguished achievements, and pure joy that she brought to our society.”
An article in the New York Times identified the pilot of the plane as the father of Kareena, Dr. Group, who was “experienced” according to the family statement. The report has not been confirmed that he was flying the plane that was crashed by the family or the authorities.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, the NTSB official, Todd Inman, said that Mitsubishi Mobishi is double “compressed, pressed in the terrain” in a muddy agricultural field near Caraville, New York.
The accident occurred almost in the middle of the day as the family was heading to Colombia County Airport.
Mr. Inman added that the monitoring of air traffic tried to contact the pilot several times, but he did not receive any response or recall of distress.
He said that the pilot was flying under the rules of the instrument, instead of the visual aviation rules, adding that it is too early to determine whether the decrease in the visibility of the weather conditions was a worker.
Mr. Inman said the plane has a cockpit of the cockpit with a newer technology, approved by federal aviation management standards.
The investigation will be conducted and a possible cause of the NTSB final report will be determined within 12 to 24 months.
This comes just days after six people, including a family of Spanish tourists, He died in a helicopter crash in New York.
