Karate Kid and the villain Cobra Kai will not return to legend

“Karate Kid: Legends” will connect all the films and TV shows of the “Karate Kid” franchise.with Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) team up Bridging the gap between the OG “Karate Kid” films and the 2010 reboot of the film. In his own words:

“It’s been kept well under wraps. I haven’t talked to Ralph about it; I will (…) Ralph went for about 10 days, did it, and that was it. None of us (‘Cobra Kai’ crew members) came and played When they don’t invite me, it’s okay, because I know why: they’re inviting trouble.”

Of course, since “Karate Kid: Legends” takes place after the events of “Cobra Kai,” Kreese will likely be dead or in prison by the time the movie begins, so that has to be taken into consideration. Furthermore, the film seems more interested in moving the “Karate Kid” franchise into the future, with new characters taking center stage.

In “Karate Kid: Legends,” Mr. Han teams up with Daniel LaRusso to help kung fu and karate prodigy Li Fung (Ben Wang) settle into life in America. A teenager moves from Beijing to New York after suffering a tragedy in his homeland, and let’s just say he doesn’t get along with all of his new classmates. Cue the teen getting into fights with some of the toughest fighters in the Big Apple.

The plot synopsis echoes the original “Karate Kid” film, which revolves around LaRusso’s struggle with bullies after moving to California from New Jersey. Both films are stories about outsiders who find themselves facing hardships while trying to navigate new surroundings. With that in mind, it’s understandable why Daniel would want to take on another student, despite his vow to retire from karate after the Sekai Taikai tournament in “Cobra Kai” Season 6.

Although “Karate Kid: Legends” looks mostly to the future, that doesn’t mean the series won’t revisit the past. “Cobra Kai” set up an introductory series for Mr. Miyagi perfectly About his younger years, and the show’s creators have been open about wanting to make spinoff shows in that universe. Who knows – maybe they’ll find a place for John Chris in one of them?
