Justin Bieber has allegedly been ‘shocked’ by news of Selena Gomez’s engagement

A new report claims that Justin Bieber doesn’t plan to talk about his engagement news and hopes that Selena Gomez is “okay and happy at the end of the day.”

According to Daily MailBieber was “shocked for a brief second” when he heard that Gomez and her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, were engaged.

A source close to the pop star said: “Justin is married with a child, we all know that, but when he heard Selena was engaged, he would admit it hurt for a moment.”

The insider also claimed that the news made Bieber realize it was “officially the end of an era,” even though he and Gomez had already moved on with their lives.

“His past is so tied to Selena, and now that she’s engaged, and he’s married and a father, it’s a shock to the system that everyone is getting older,” they added.

Ultimately, Bieber won’t be “too nervous” about the engagement news and hopes that Gomez will be “fine and happy at the end of the day.”

He also hopes that this will be a signal to fans to stop “putting off” the relationship he once shared with the singer.

News of Gomez’s engagement to Benny Blanco spread earlier this month after she posted a photo of her dazzling engagement ring on Instagram.

The singer also shared additional photos, including one in which Blanco is seen kissing her on the side of the head in a warm hug, her face smiling with a smile.

She also shared another shot of herself smiling as she looked at the ring on her finger, which appeared to have been taken during an outing she took with Blanco.

Alongside the set of photos, Gomez added the caption, “Forever starts now,” referring to her excitement about walking down the aisle with Blanco.

Blanco responded to the affection in the comments section, saying, “Hey wait…that’s my wife.”

The couple has not announced their wedding date yet, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they set one soon.
