Now, Raymer Satterthwaite has shared in a new interview that he believes the rapper refused to take a paternity test all this time because his mother was only 16 when they were allegedly in a relationship.

Talk to United States SunSatterthwaite, along with his godmother Dr. Lily Cooley, revealed that before filing lawsuits against Jay-Z, they initially tried to resolve the paternity issue by requesting a paternity test “in private.”
However, the rapper reportedly denied the request at the time, prompting them to seek court help to force it.
The pair have now given a reason for Jay Z’s refusal, saying he was “scared” that confirming paternity would reveal that Satterthwaite’s mother was a “minor” at the time of their alleged relationship.
“I have to say here — he’s not doing this (paternity test) because of the age of Remer’s mother… because he (Jay-Z) had two problems: First, she was (16), and then she got pregnant.” Cooley told the publication.

Adding to Cooley’s statements, Remer stated that he believed Jay-Z had “some kind of thought in his mind” that there might be “some kind of truth” to the paternity claim.
He believes this made the rapper “put it aside” despite giving him the opportunity to “take care” of the problem.

During the interview, Cooley discussed Jay-Z’s ongoing rape lawsuit, in which the rapper is named as one of the alleged perpetrators accused of sexually assaulting a minor.
She claimed that the accusations could mark a “day of reckoning” for Jay-Z’s career and the music industry as a whole.
“And that’s why you have to be careful in how you deal with people and what you do because I believe you will reap what you sow,” Cooley told the outlet.
Cooley also shared her belief that the latest accusations could “spill over” to their case because they “show the broader narrative, the broader scope of what’s going on, and that this is deep and wide-ranging.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Satterthwaite expressed frustration about continuing to claim paternity all these years.
“You guys went and dragged this thing out. For years and years, you didn’t give us due process,” the 31-year-old complained. “What’s the reason? Can you guys explain? You hurt us, caused us this stress?”
Satterthwaite went on to say that he is not interested in Jay-Z’s money or fame. He also expressed his willingness to form a relationship with Jay-Z if a paternity test proves their relationship.
“If it’s right, you know… we can grow and have a relationship if you want to. But if you don’t want to, you know I’ll still be the man I am,” he said.

Satterthwaite added: “I’m really not trying to chase you, to not get fame or money from you. I don’t want anything from you. I’ve always said that.”

Satterthwaite and his godmother’s statements come after they filed suit against several individuals within the court system.
In the lawsuit, the duo accused the named individuals of obstructing their efforts to force Jay-Z to confirm his paternity, misrepresenting his ownership of the property, and allowing the Roc Nation founder to make false claims.
Elsewhere in the lawsuit, they asked for a “declaratory judgment” to prove their constitutional rights were violated. They also sought to unseal previously sealed court records related to the case for public review.
According to Daily MailThey urged the court to award damages for “negligent infliction of emotional distress”, claiming they had suffered “significant personal injury” due to the protracted legal battle.

Remer Satterthwaite also called out Jay-Z for his response to the rape allegation against him

In a statement by L Daily MailSatterthwaite criticized his father’s alleged response to the rape allegations he faces.
Satterthwaite said it was “both heartbreaking and frustrating” to see Jay-Z address the allegations with “deviance and attacks.”
He then linked the situation to his long-standing efforts to get the head of Roc Nation to approve a paternity test.
Satterwhite added: “My late mother, Wanda, was only 16 when she conceived me, and for years I have sought to clarify my identity. This is not about greed or show, it is about uncovering the truth and ensuring all parties are held accountable.”
