Israeli strikes via Gaza kills at least 26 people

The first health and respondents say that nine Palestinians were killed in an Israeli air strike at a police station in northern Gaza.

Many other people were injured when the missiles reached the Gabalia Souk area. Video footage showed the crowds that gathered around the remains of a flat building.

The Israeli army said it struck a “leadership and monitoring center” of Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic journey in Gabalia, which was used to plan the attacks.

According to at least 17 other people were killed elsewhere in Gaza on Thursday.

Among them are a family of six individuals – a couple and their four children – whose house was bombed in the northern sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City, according to the Hamas Civil Defense Agency.

A relative, Nidal Saraviti, said that the family was asleep at the time of the strike.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) identified the man who was killed as Ali Saraviti, who said he was a member of the armed group and a former prisoner who was imprisoned for 13 years in Israel after being convicted of an attempt’s suicide attack.

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli army.

The Palestinian media also said that three displaced people were killed when the tent of their family was wounded near Nossayer, in the center of Gaza, and that two children died in a blow to another tent in the southern Khan Yunis.

The Hamas -running Ministry of Health in Gaza says that at least 1978 people have been killed since Israel resumed its attack against Hamas on March 18 after the ceasefire collapsed for two months.

Israel says it puts military pressure on Hamas to launch 59 hostages that still keep them, and it is believed that 24 of them are alive.

All delivery operations have also prevented humanitarian aid and other supplies to Gaza for a period of seven weeks, which the United Nations says “depriving people of survival and undermining every aspect of civil life.”

The Israeli army launched a campaign to destroy Hamas in response to an unprecedented attack across the border on October 7, 2023, where about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken into account.

More than 51,300 people have been killed in Gaza since then, according to the Ministry of Health in the region.
