The Israeli army continues its bombing of Syrian military targets after the overthrow of the dictator who long ruled the country. It says Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes on weapons stockpiles to keep them out of the hands of extremists. Israeli forces also occupy territory across the border in Syria.
