(Reuters) – The Promised Intel manufacturing factories face $ 28 billion in Ohio more delay, as it is expected that the first factory in New Albanian is not completed until 2030, according to Columbus Dispatch on Friday.
The report said that the first factory would start operations at some time shortly after 2030 or 2031, citing the chips maker.
The shares of the company, which are already scheduled to start the chips industry in Ohio factories in 2025, increased more than 5 %.
Intel has reduced capital expenditures after an expensive attempt to become a contract to make contract chips for other companies, in a move to restore its missing glory, its public budget was strained.
The changes were made so that Intel can align the operation of the factory with the demand for the market and the best “capital management with responsibility”, the report also referred to Naga Chandrasekaran, General Director of Intel Foundry Manufacturing, saying in a message to workers.
The Ohio II factory will not be completed for the company until at least 2031 and will start working in 2032, according to the report.
Intel did not immediately respond to Reuters request for comment.
Last year, the company recorded 15 % of its working power, suspended its profits and started a wide -range plan for costs that include huge discounts in its capital expenses in the coming years.
David Zensner, Chief Finance Chairman, told Reuters last month that the company’s goal is to ensure that operating expenses were about $ 17.5 billion for 2025.
