Infosys puts 240 fresh on failed assessments, and offers free support- report- report

Infosys ended 240 entry level employees who failed to survey internal assessments, according to emails that the company sent on April 18. This represents the second round of performance -related layoffs in recent months, after more than 300 trainees have left in February under similar circumstances.

The affected employees were part of a training group that joined in October 2024 after a long and a half years long waiting, due to the slowdown of the project and the freezing of employment during the epidemic and uncertainty in the subsequent market. They were working as system engineers (SE) and digital engineers (DSE).

According to internal communication, the trainees did not fulfill the qualifying standards despite giving them additional preparation time, many fake assessments (three attempts) and suspicion sessions.

Infosys provides free professionals and support for the career of affected trainees. As part of the assistance package, employees can register in the external training programs sponsored by NIIT for their disposal or upgrade commercial operations management roles (BPM). Those who complete the BPM training may reinforce roles in Infosys BPM Limited.

The company also said it would provide a month’s wages, travel allowance, and support for those who leave from the training campus in Missuru to Bangaluru or their hometown.

A total of 730 trainees sat to try the third and final evaluation on April 17. It is expected that the results of the next batch are expected to be from the trainees who are trying their final evaluation next week.

Infosys had left earlier in 30 to 45 trainees from its deprived mysuru in March after the failed assessments, with similar alternative tracks. These hairstyles come at a time when the company expected a full growth in revenue by 0-3 % for the fiscal year, amid the slowdown in the main markets such as the United States and Europe.

Despite the opposite winds, Infosys said it planned 20,000 fresh in the 26th fiscal year. Last year, the company added more than 15,000 beginners to beginners.
