It turns out Sonic the Hedgehog 3 This is just the end of this current chapter of Blue Blur’s adventures with his friends. In the mid-credits scene, Sonic once again races with his brothers, but ends up going too far into the forest. It’s night and scary when he is suddenly attacked by Metal Sonic. This sonic imposter is known in the games because he was created by Robotnik, who sacrificed himself in the film to save humanity. So the origins of this metallic hedgehog and his metallic Sonic army are currently unknown – unless of course Ivo survives and sends these robots in order to rekindle their conflict across the stars. The schedule seems too tight for that unless we get in for a good time.

Who arrives to save the day? None other than Amy Rose, complete with hooded cape and magic staff. Based on the out-of-this-world Chapter 3 boss battle and the Chaos Emeralds scattered across the galaxy, we think Sonic Team is about to embark on a space adventure with Amy Rose.

The second end credit scene reveals that after the giant explosion, Shadow survived. Which makes us think that maybe Eggman survived too. Part of me wonders if Shadow’s little black hole powers were introduced here, as they were introduced when Team Sonic was almost sucked into one earlier in the movie. Perhaps he unleashed one to transport himself and Eggman to unknown worlds. Anyway, we’re glad we got more of Shadow the Hedgehog. We’ll see what’s next when Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Arrives in 2027.
