Halle Bailey and her ex-boyfriend put their differences aside and came together to celebrate their son Halo’s first birthday on Sunday, gifting him a bright red Ferrari.
DDG, who was born Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., made sure to update fans about the Cocomelon-themed concert via his PontiacMadeDDG YouTube vlog, which left many of them stunned.
In the hour-long video, guests went through party proceedings as usual, but things got heated when they all stepped out into the parking lot of the event center, and the camera panned to where a friend drove the car.
“Is this for Halo or for me? I don’t know!” DDG said slyly as he sat in the luxury Italian sports car.

Halle Bailey and DDG’s relationship drama

Meanwhile, Bailey and DDG haven’t been on the best of terms since their split in October. The duo clashed after the Halo rapper appeared on Kai Cenat’s Twitch Livestream without her consent.
“Hi everyone. Just so you know I’m out of town and I don’t consent to my child being on the stream tonight,” the “Angel” singer wrote in a since-deleted post on X. Daily Mail.
The singer continued, “I was not told or notified, and I am very upset about having to give birth to my child in front of millions of people.” “I am his mother and protector and it saddens me that I was not notified, especially when I am out of town.”
In a follow-up statement, she spoke candidly about her “severe postpartum period” and criticized DDG for not respecting her “boundaries.”
“As a woman who experiences extreme postpartum pain, there are boundaries that I want to respect. No one knows what someone is going through until they explode,” Bailey wrote.

DDG defended his former partner against the backlash

Shortly after Billie called out DDG, she angered fans as they made sure to criticize her for criticizing her baby daddy.
She then issued a follow-up statement, also deleted, in which she admitted she may have “overreacted.”
“I may have overreacted yesterday and I wasn’t supposed to bring him here. I know Halo is always safe with his father. I don’t like knowing with the rest of the world what my baby is doing,” she wrote.
DDG also defended Bailey by calling out fans who attacked the singer for voicing her concerns.
“The only thing I don’t like when people do that is I don’t like when people hate Haley,” he said. “I don’t care if people think she’s wrong or not, or if I think she’s wrong or right.”
“It’s possible she’s going through something mental after having a baby that I as a man can’t understand,” DDG continued.
