- Parisa TabrizDirector General of Google Chrome witnessed on Friday during the anti -monopoly issue in the Ministry of Justice against the illegal Google monopoly in the search market. Tabriz said it is impossible to “separate” Google from the success of Chrome, adding that she “does not think it can be re -created” elsewhere.
Google believes it is the only company that can run Chrome, which is the most popular web browser in the world, and that it will suffer in the hands of anyone else.
“In an attempt to separate this unprecedented,” said Parisa Tabriz, General Manager of Google Chrome at the Federal Court on Friday.
Tabriz said that Google Chrome is the result of “17 years of cooperation” between the Chrome and Google team and companies that offer technical contributions to the company’s open -source Chromium project, which is also used in many other Google projects such as Android operating system. “Google invests hundreds of millions of dollars,” Tabriz said, but he noticed that other companies “do not contribute now in any meaningful way.”
Over the course of several hours on Friday, Tabriz explained that Google is forced to sell Chrome, which the Ministry of Justice asked to do (in addition to sharing some of the data it collects for energy search results), it would harm Chrome in the end.
“I don’t think it can be re -created,” said Tabriz on the success of Chrome under Google.
Tabriz also mentioned that the Chrome team is currently working on artificial intelligence bread in the browser to make it more “agent”: in other words, Google wants to be able to automate tasks on behalf of users, from filling models to research to shopping.
