Google announced on Tuesday about new products and features aimed at healthcare use, including an improved overview of Google’s search on healthy queries, the new medical record programming interface and “Open” models that focus on health.
In the search, Google says it uses AI and arrangement systems to expand the “knowledge panel” answers to thousands of health issues, and add support to inquire health care in Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese on the mobile phone. The company said that the research has already provided the answers of the knowledge panel for diseases such as influenza or common cold, but the update largely expands the number of topics covered by knowledge panels.
Google also appears for the first time in the search feature called “what people suggest” on the US mobile phone to highlight the content of users who have joint experiences related to health conditions. For example, if someone asks about common exercises for people who deal with arthritis, what people propose will collect reports from various forums about the web using artificial intelligence.

“While people come to search to find reliable medical information from experts, they also appreciate listening from others who have similar experiences,” wrote Karen Deslavo, head of health at Google, in a blog post presented to Techcrunch. “Using artificial intelligence, we can organize different views of online discussions to easy to understand topics, helping you to understand what people say quickly.”
On Tuesday, Google also launched the Medical Records applications worldwide applications for Android’s healthy communication platform. Google said this will help collect data from medical service providers and allow users to see this data through various applications, as well as facilitate access to information on devices such as phones.
“Application programming facades allow these applications to read and write medical registry information such as allergies, medicines, vaccinations, and laboratory leads to standard FHIR format,” Desalvo explained in the blog post. “With these additions, the Health Connect supports more than 50 types of data through activity, sleep, nutrition, vitality and medical records now – which facilitates the delivery of your daily health data with data from your doctor’s office.”
