California Governor Gavin New Off said that the state is planning to prosecute Donald Trump’s sweeping definitions, on the pretext that duties will cost jobs and raise prices.
The lawsuit, which represents one of the first important legal challenges for Trump’s commercial policy, will be filed at the California Federal Court on Wednesday by New Noorom’s lawyer and public lawyer Rob Punta.
“President Trump’s illegal tariff enhances chaos on the families of California, companies and our economy, raising prices and threatening jobs.”
He added: “We stand for American families who cannot allow chaos to continue.”
NEWSOM, who was elected California Governor in 2018, is a potential presidential candidate in the future.
According to the news office, California is the fifth largest economy in the world. The state is also home to Los Angeles, and is the most crowded in the United States that is particularly exposed to the slow trade with China.
Earlier this month, Trump imposed a “mutual” tariff that was highly down on trading partners in the United States, before announcing a 90 -day postponement after the move was sent to Wall Street and the Treasury.
However, there is still a global tax of 10 percent in place, as well as certain duties for the sector such as those on cars.
