In France’s foreign administrations, the language and culture of crews are seen as a partisan against racism and monotheism. The concept of “Créorance” was developed in the late 1980s, following the writings of Aimé Césaire about the concept of Edouard Glissant for “Antillanité”, or the identity of the Caribbean Sea.
