Qantas has been forced to postpone several flights to South Africa due to last-minute warnings about SpaceX rocket debris falling from the sky, the airline said. The guard said this week.

SpaceX chose the southern Indian Ocean as the reentry area because of its remote location. But the location is relevant to Qantas: it is within its route from Sydney to Johannesburg. Qantas operations center chief Ben Holland said the airline often received little advance notice of debris, leading to delays.

South African Airways flights were also affected by SpaceX, The Guardian reported.
