A wave of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip led to the killing of at least 50 Palestinians during the past 24 hours.
One of the attacks, which occurred overnight and into Monday, hit a camp in the Al-Mawasi area, the so-called humanitarian “safe zone,” killing eight people, including two children.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the city of Deir al-Balah in the center of the country said that three bodies arrived after an air attack on a school that had been turned into a shelter in the Nuseirat refugee camp.
This was followed by an attack on a civilian vehicle transporting displaced people from one area to another in Al-Mawasi, killing two.
The third attack was on a car carrying security personnel – volunteers working to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the designated points.
In separate attacks, the army targeted a school housing displaced people in the area Nasiris A refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, which led to the death of one person.
It also killed four people in the area north of the camp, according to Al Jazeera Arabic and the Palestinian Wafa news agency.
The raids came at the end of a bloody 24 hours in the Strip, where medical sources told Al Jazeera Arabic that 50 people had been killed since early Sunday.
The Israeli war on Gaza has killed at least 45,259 Palestinians and injured 107,627 since October 7, 2023.
