Football rules allow you to tackle, push and pile up, but don’t you dare wear the wrong color of shoes.
Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Jalen hurts I learned that the hard way after one of Air Jordan The cleats he wore during his game on Sunday, December 15 were the wrong shade of green. Under NFL rules, players must wear cleats that match the team colors.
In Philadelphia’s 27-13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Hurts, 26, wore green Kelly boots, matching his coat. Eagles Jersey, and one cleat was much lighter.
The quarterback is one of Jordan Brand’s top NFL athletes. He has taken to wearing multiple pairs of Jordan shoes during a single game, often switching between halftime, rather than wearing cleats from two separate pairs at the same time.
This stud cost him A Fine of $5,628NFL Network Tom Pelissero I mentioned.
The amount was the negotiated fine for the first violation, as outlined in the league’s collective bargaining agreement. A second violation will cost Hurts $16,883.

Mitchell Liff/Getty ImagesFor most people, a four-figure fine will be a strong deterrent. But Hurts is in the middle of a five-year contract that pays him an average of $51 million annually, and that’s before bonuses and endorsements. This means, at a minimum, that the first violation cost him about 0.01 percent of his annual salary.
Hurts explained his mistake in NFL uniforms on Wednesday.
“I was supposed to wear the Columbia 11 shoes I gave to the kids who were in the Wings Initiative after last week’s game and they never showed up,” he said. “I ended up getting all my shoes in there. The guy wanted to take some pictures. It took about five minutes, and some of them were very casual. We ended up taking pictures in two different cleats. I was like, ‘I’m going to wear these shoes on Sunday because my shoes didn’t arrive.’ “We hope they come soon.”
Hurts had a solid performance on Sunday, completing 25 passes while punting twice and rushing for one more. While he did not comment on whether the cleats were the secret to success, he was asked if he would wear them again and incur another fine (the second would be about 0.03 percent of his salary).
“We’ll see. We’ll see,” he replied.
This isn’t the first time Hurts has played in two different colored shoes. During a match in October vs Cincinnati Bengalsone of his cleats exploded and he had to adapt quickly, grabbing one cleat from a different pair.
After that match, he created the perfect nickname for himself, one that remains relevant.
“I had to go to Jalen Two-Shoes for a while,” he said.
