Donald Trump increased pressure on Denmark to abandon Greenland Island in the Arctic to the United States, where Vice President JD Vance toured an American military base on the region.

“For international security, we must have Greenland. It is not an issue, “Do you think we can do without it?” “We cannot,” Trump said in Washington.

The American president, who developed the American regional expansion at the heart of his second foreign policy, said that the Chinese and Russian ships were “everywhere” in the waters surrounding Greenland and Denmark are unreliable to deal with them.

Trump said: “Greenland is very important to Peace of the worldNot, we, peace of the whole world. And I think Denmark understands this. I think the European Union understands this. If they do not do that, we will have to explain it. ”

Vans traveled to the Betifik space base along the northwestern coast of the island on Friday, accompanied by his wife, Osha, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, and Chris Wright, Minister of Energy. The journey was expanded from an original plan for the American delegation to visit Nuk, the capital of the island, and attend the dog race.

“Our argument is very simple – it’s not with the people of Greenland. It is really with the leadership of Denmark who was not invested in Greenland and security architecture. It must really change.”

He added that Greenlands will be better in the umbrella of US security instead of Denmark. “We have to be more serious in Greenland’s security. We cannot ignore this place. We cannot ignore the Russian and Chinese infringement in Greenland,” Vans said.

The Vice President of the United States cleared the speech from Trump, who previously refused to exclude the military force to take the island. “We do not think that military power will be necessary at all. We believe that it is logical,” Vans said.

He added that Greenlands expects independence from Denmark, and that there are “talks” with the United States.

When he reached the military base, Vans told the soldiers there: “The atmosphere is cold like shit here. No one told me.”

Arctic experts say China and Russia have become more interested in the Far North, but there are few visible signs of their proximity to Greenland. A Chinese company tried to build several airports in Greenland, but it was replaced after Denmark said it would fund it instead.

Metty Friedriksen, Prime Minister of Denmark, admitted that her country did not spend enough on the security of the Arctic but criticized the visit of Vans – which decreased from three days to a few hours on the American base – as it lacks respect.

Vans to Greenland’s visit came, where the island of 57,000 revealed the new coalition government.

“While we are under pressure, we must as people, Stand togetherJenus Friedrich Nielsen, the new prime minister, said.

The new government has said it will request talks with the United States and Denmark about its future.
