DHS, HUD is to end the “exploitation of housing programs” by illegal immigrants

The Trump administration has started an effort between agencies to end what it describes as “exploiting housing programs” by illegal foreigners.

In a statement published on Monday, the US Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced that it had established a memorandum of “American housing programs for American citizens” for understanding (Memorandum of Understanding). The agreement was also signed by the US Department of Internal Security (DHS).

The press statement stated that the Memorandum of Understanding is directed towards ending “the dump mixing of taxpayers for the benefit of illegal foreigners instead of American citizens.”

“As part of this new agreement, HUD will provide a full -time employee to help operations at the ICC command center (ICC), create a partnership between agencies to facilitate data sharing and ensure that the housing programs funded by taxpayers are not used to accommodate or benefit from illegal foreigners,” the issuance decision.

The effort comes a month after the president Donald Trump The executive order (EO) signed “to ensure that taxpayers are not used to motivate or support illegal immigration.” EO, signed on February 19, ordered government departments to determine the programs funded by the federal government “providing financial benefits for illegal foreigners”, and assigning them to “take corrective measures.”

“This agreement will benefit from resources, including technology and employees, to ensure that the American people are the only priority when it comes to public housing,” Terner said. “We will continue to work closely with the Ministry of National Security to increase our resources to the maximum and put American citizens first.”
