Former Australian opener David Warner has made a significant step by officially registering for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Draft 10. David Warner will enter the Pakistan Super League draft for the first time since his ban, and it has caused a frenzy in the cricket community on social media.
Warner, who turned down an offer to play in the Pakistan Super League in 2019, has now registered for the PSL 10 Draft, scheduled for January 11 in Balochistan. The move comes after Warner went unsold in the mega IPL 2025 auction in November last year, despite having a base price of Rs 2 crore.

David Warner is a T20 legend, scoring 3277 runs in 110 T20I matches at an average of 33.43 and a strike rate of 142.47, with 28 half-centuries and a top score of 100 not out. The left-handed batsman has scored 12,540 runs in 389 T20s at an average of 36.66 and a strike rate of 140.15.
David Warner signed up for the IPL 2025 auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore but went unsold after a poor IPL 2024 season in which he scored just 168 runs with a fifty for Delhi Capitals. Warner remains the highest outside run-scorer in IPL history with 6,565 runs, including four centuries and 62 fifties.
Warner’s IPL journey began with the Delhi Capitals (then Delhi Daredevils) in 2009, where he played until 2014. SRH acquired him in 2014, made him their captain in 2015, and led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to their maiden IPL title in 2016. However, his stint with SRH ended on a sour note during the 2021 IPL season.
The 38-year-old is currently playing for Sydney Thunder in the 2024/25 Big Bash League and is likely to become a regular player in the Pakistan Super League in the coming years.
David Warner is Australia’s second highest run-scorer across formats
David Warner has scored 18,995 runs in 383 ODIs across formats, including 49 centuries and 98 half-centuries. He is behind Ricky Ponting (27,368) for most Australian innings. Warner’s last appearance for Australia was in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where they were eliminated in the Super 8.
He is a three-time World Cup winner, having claimed titles in the 2015, 2023 ODI World Cup and 2021 T20 World Cup. Currently, Warner has been part of the commentary panel for the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 between India and Australia.
