Thousands of people felt that the earthquake in New Zealand with reporting the local media that swing and falls from the shelves.
The authorities said that people who live in coastal areas have been warned of getting out of the water and moving away from the beaches after it hit a powerful earthquake of 6.7 degrees from the southern island in New Zealand.
The National Emergency Management Agency said after the earthquake on Tuesday that the residents of the South Land and Fiorland regions should remain far from the marine areas because strong and unusual currents may pose a threat.
The agency said: “People on boats, live fires and in Marinas should leave boats/ships and move to the beach. They do not return to boats unless instructions are instructed by officials,” the agency said.
Geonet government said that more than 4,700 people felt the earthquake.
The earthquake was reported at a depth of 33 km (21 miles), about 160 km (99 miles) northwest of the north west, in the far north of the New Zealand islands, at alert.

“We had things to fall on the shelf. Danced the outdoor wooden table,” a Facebook user was posted, according to the New Zealand Herald.
The United States’s geological survey said the earthquake, which was reduced from a previous size of 7, occurred at a depth of about 10 km (6 miles).
The Australian National Club said that there was no tsunami threat to the main righteousness, islands or regions.
New Zealand is located on the active “episode of fire”, an arc at a distance of 40,000 km (24,854 miles) of volcanoes and peripheral trenches that define a lot of the Pacific Ocean.
