Beyoncé teases Netflix Halftime Xmas show with hilarious promo

Grammy Award-winning star Beyoncé She’s having a little fun with Netflix – and her fans – before her big Christmas halftime performance.

On the eve of the “Ya-Ya” singer’s anticipated performance at the Baltimore Ravens’ game against the Houston Texans, a new promo has debuted featuring the 43-year-old.

The promo includes a reference to the broadcast issues that plagued the Jake Paul/Mike Tyson bout in November.

In the promotional clip that Beyoncé released via her social media profiles on Tuesday, the crowd cheers off-screen as the “Cowboy Carter” singer slowly appears.

The camera moves slowly to capture the singer wearing a long, embellished shawl, high heels, a large black cowboy hat, and shades. She plays the banjo while appearing to perform her No. 1 Billboard song, “Texas Hold ‘Em.”

The lens becomes perfectly positioned, and Beyoncé takes off her shades. When the camera zooms in on her face, the screen suddenly freezes, showing the infamous red buffering circle.

Before resuming the visual, the singer let out a light chuckle, which resulted in her winking and smiling at the camera.

The on-screen graphic follows: “Halftime Show, This Christmas, Houston, Texas.”

Along with the teaser, Beyoncé wrote Instagram: “Sending you great joy and love on this Cowboy Christmas Eve. See you all tomorrow, in my city HTX.”

Initially released in March, Cowboy Carter is Beyoncé’s eighth studio album and her first country effort. It has not yet been promoted beyond the three singles.

That will change on Christmas Day, when the singer’s halftime show will take place, which the streaming company first teased last month. This will be her third time collaborating with the NFL, the first being her 2013 Super Bowl performance.

In 2016, she accompanied Bruno Mars and Coldplay in their joint halftime lineup, which sparked controversy by performing the song “Formation.”

Since then, husband Jay-Z has renewed his partnership with the sports organization for future halftime shows, including Kendrick Lamar’s upcoming Super Bowl LIX show scheduled for February 2025.

According to Daily Mailthe singer’s halftime performance could tease what fans might see on a supposed 2025 world tour.

An insider claims the “Single Ladies” star is planning to unveil what is said to be an “amazing” set of performances for “Cowboy Carter” and an as-yet-unknown follow-up.

Although nothing has been confirmed, some of Beyoncé’s staunchest supporters believe a rock era could follow her current country phase and nod to disco and dance via the singer’s 2022 “Renaissance” album.

The insider also noted that the future project will be her most “unique” yet, with “extravagant” concerts scheduled to accompany the work.

Beyoncé and her camp have been mum about any potential future projects.

In what has become a new norm for the singer, official visuals for the “Cowboy Carter” songs have yet to be released.

The absence follows a similar void in “Renaissance,” where she privately told fans during one of her concerts that she considered them better “visuals” than she could absorb.

talking to GQ In September, Beyoncé expanded on her reasons for not focusing on music videos for the first time in her career.

“I thought it was important that during a time when all we see are images, the world can focus on sound,” she said. “The music is so rich in history and instruments. It takes months to absorb, research and understand. The music needed space to breathe on its own.”

Likewise, a statement from Parkwood Entertainment, Beyoncé’s production company, indicated that the singer hoped to make the music powerful enough to exist without visual images.

“(It gives) fans the opportunity to be limitless on their expanded listening journey,” he said, adding: “It’s an opportunity to once again be listeners rather than viewers while enjoying every gem of an original production.”

Unlike most Netflix productions, the Ravens/Texans game is owned by the NFL.

As such, the streaming app only contains Three-hour window after the initial broadcast to allow reruns.

However, if you want to watch Beyoncé tear up the grass, make sure you do it early!
