The ruling military council in Myanmar says that the death toll after the devastating earthquake last week is now standing to about 2900 people.
The actual death toll fears that it will be much higher, as many people are still stuck under the rubble in the affected cities.
The ruling military council announced that it would not allow foreign journalists to enter the country after the earthquake, making it difficult to report from the country.
Yogita Limaye from the BBC has become the first foreign journalist to enter the country since it hit the disaster and traveled to Mandalay.
